Meadowlands Chamber Hosts Trade Delegation From Chongqing, China

The Meadowlands Chamber hosted a trade delegation from Chongqing, China on August 20 at the Chamber’s headquarters in Rutherford. Chongqing–a city in southwest China with over 30 million people–is rapidly developing and urbanizing and includes several special economic/technological development zones. The trade delegation’s executives who visited the Meadowlands represented a variety of industries including glass, architecture, transportation and metal work.

This initial discussion builds a foundation for understanding each other’s economies and business climates, identifying potential partnership opportunities to connect businesses in the Meadowlands with businesses in Chongqing. The two groups will now continue the discussion on future reciprocal investments here in the Meadowlands and in Chongqing.

If any businesses are interested in learning more about the partnership between Chongqing and the Meadowlands, they can contact Joe Garavente at JGaravente@meadowlands.org or (201) 939-0707.
