Think Tank with Steve Adubato to premiere this weekend

Think Tank with Steve Adubato will premiere on Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12 on PBS stations, Thirteen/WNET and NJTV.

Taped out of the Agnes Varis NJTV Studio in downtown Newark, Think Tank brings together thought leaders, innovators and experts to explore the critical issues, trends and challenges facing our state, region and nation today. In a spirited and engaging, roundtable discussion, Emmy® Award-winning anchor, Steve Adubato, will ask challenging questions about our society’s most pressing issues.

Featuring experts from New Jersey and the surrounding area, Think Tank will examine topics such as the role of innovation and technology in business development, tax policy, the future of banking and finance, the impact of our failing infrastructure on economy in the state, region and nation, how transportation and transit impacts business success, the future of the Democratic and Republican parties as we approach the 2020 election, the state of higher education, the negative tone of political discourse in the country, the future of energy, transparency in healthcare, race relations, the impact of leadership styles in government, business and other sectors.

The debut program on May 11th & 12th  features a compelling and dynamic roundtable discussion on the Future of the Democratic Party with Dr. Gene Cornacchia, President, Saint Peter’s University and Political Scientist; Brendan Gill, Democratic Strategist and President of BGill Group; Senator Vin Gopal (D) – NJ, Majority Conference Leader; and Tara Dowdell, Founder & President, TDG Speakers & Tara Dowdell Group and Democratic Consultant.

“We’re kicking off Think Tank with a comprehensive examination of the Democratic Party because many think the party is fractured and divided on critical issues such as taxes, the Green New Deal, or the prospect of impeaching President Trump. These issues must be explored in a responsible and civil fashion. That’s Think Tank. This program is less about ‘horse race’ politics and more about policy, ideology and what it means to be a ‘Democrat’ as we approach the 2020 election and beyond.”  —Steve Adubato, Ph.D., Executive Producer & Anchor, Think Tank
