This holiday season, the Meadowlands Racetrack will be holding its Annual Toys for Tots Collection Drive in a collaboration with former NY Jets wide receiver Quincy Enunwa. This will mark the 7th year that the Racetrack and Enunwa have partnered with one another to bring this drive to life.
Donations for the drive will open starting on Nov. 29 and will run until Dec. 13. The Racetrack will be looking for new, unwrapped toys in the drive, which will then be given to those who need it most. Enunwa will be on site on Dec. 13 to help collect toys and chat with fans at the track.
“We encourage all of our patrons and horsemen to donate a new unwrapped toy during this holiday season,” said Jason M. Settlemoir, GM/COO of the Meadowlands Racetrack. “Working together to make the holiday season special for children in need is what it is all about.”
On Dec. 17, at noon, Enunwa and the US Marines Toys for Tots will personally deliver the toys collected from the drive to children at SBH Health System. The System, which is a Safety Net Hospital that has helped deliver healthcare to those in the Bronx for decades, is conveniently located around 20 miles from the Meadowlands region.
