Four national teams — Brazil, Senegal, Morocco, and Haiti — have confirmed locations in New Jersey for their official 2026 FIFA World Cup base camps.
The four locations will serve as the primary training and residence hubs for the teams during the group stage of the tournament, the New York Times reported citing sources. Each base camp includes a training site and lodging accommodations, which vary widely from team to team and city to city.
The Base Camps
The primary purpose of a Team Base Camp is to serve as a permanent “home-away-from-home” and maintain a consistent routine
Having a base camp provides a central location for a team to maintain consistency between games. It’s a routine location for daily training, rest, and tactical preparation. While teams travel to different host cities for their group stage matches, they return to their dedicated base camp after.
Brazil is setting up at the new Columbia Park Training Center in Morris Township, the recently built state-of-the-art training facility for the New York Red Bulls.
