Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands will be putting their resources on display on July 11 as part of an open house for the facility. Among the resources that will be shown are the Innovation Center, paramedic science laboratory and conference center.
The event will take place on July 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at 1280 Wall Street in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. The open house will provide interested students, their families and other residents with the opportunity to explore one of Bergen Community College’s latest renovations. The biggest one being the opening of the Innovation Center, which brings the “real world” into the classroom.
The Innovation Center takes up an entire floor of the Lyndhurst location and represents Bergen Community College’s determination to create more programs that prepare students for employment after graduating. The Center is made up of four main laboratories, which are listed below.
- Bloomberg Finance, featuring stock market terminals and a 16-foot LED ticker displaying real-time stock prices
- Cybersecurity, featuring cyberthreat monitors that display actual security breaches occurring throughout the world
- Gaming, featuring six 65-inch overhead monitors and software such as SpeedTree 3D modeling
- Innovation Lounge, featuring space for student collaboration and programs
The open house will provide guests with the ability to learn more information about the school’s campus life, financial aid and even its new partnership with Ramapo College. The partnership allows Bergen Community College students to transfer to the four-year college and take classes at the facility in the Meadowlands.
