Dr. Holubek joins Bergen New Bridge at a pivotal time as the Medical Center continues to grow its clinical enterprise, expand specialty and ambulatory services, invest in new technology and programs, and reach more communities across New Jersey. As Chief Medical Officer, he will help lead that next phase, working across the organization to strengthen clinical performance and ensure growth is matched by an unwavering focus on quality, safety, and the patient experience.

“We have a bold vision for the future of Bergen New Bridge, and Bill is the kind of physician leader who can help us bring that vision to life,” said Deborah Visconi, President and CEO of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. “He knows how to lead across large healthcare organizations, understands what it takes to drive clinical excellence, and shares our belief that growth must be meaningful through exceptional care, greater access, and being there for every person who needs us. I’m excited to have Bill on our team as we continue building the future of Bergen New Bridge.”

Dr. Holubek brings more than a decade of experience as a physician executive and Chief Medical Officer. He most recently served as Chief Medical Officer at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, part of Baptist Health South Florida. Prior to that, he served as Chief Medical Officer at University Hospital in Newark, one of New Jersey’s major academic medical centers, and as Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center.

An emergency medicine physician by training, Dr. Holubek has built his career at the intersection of clinical care and healthcare leadership, focusing on operational performance, collaboration, improved outcomes, and advancing high reliability.

“Bergen New Bridge is doing something very special, combining tremendous growth and clinical innovation with a mission that never loses sight of who we are here to serve,” said Dr. Holubek. “That combination is what drew me here. I’m excited to work alongside our physicians, nurses, and team members to build on the strength of this organization, continue raising the bar for quality and patient care, and ensure that as we grow, we are reaching more people with the compassionate and quality care they need and deserve.”

Dr. Holubek received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University and his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He completed his emergency medicine residency at Morristown Memorial Medical Center and a medical toxicology fellowship at New York University/Bellevue Hospital. He also earned an Executive master’s degree in public health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
