Global superstar, Beyoncé, will be playing her first of five shows on Thursday, May 22. You heard that number correctly, as Beyoncé has broken the record for consecutive shows played at MetLife Stadium on a single tour. The five shows will be part of her Cowboy Carter Tour. The shows will occur on May 22, 24, 25, 28 and 29.
The tour will celebrate her album Cowboy Carter, which has achieved much critical acclaim, winning several Grammys, including Album of the Year. Her status as one of music’s greatest artists has drawn such a large crowd to the Meadowlands, requiring five shows to accommodate for all of the fans. Her fanbase is known to be passionate, which is demonstrated through the high demand for tickets.
Luckily, transportation to the event will be easier than many feared, as the NJ Transit strike ended this Tuesday, meaning that rail service to the Meadowlands can resume. With hundreds of thousands travelling to and from the region over the next week, this will be crucial.
With so many people visiting the area, traffic will also be a common issue around that area and something that all residents should take note of. The concerts will all be starting at 7 p.m., with stadium gates opening at 5:30 p.m.
Beginning on May 22, the Meadowlands will be in store for a week full of Beyoncé. In what will be a record-breaking performance, she will bring her talents to the region and attract hundreds of thousands of fans.
