Cowboy Carter and the Grammys 2025
The second album of her three part trilogy following Renaissance (2022), Cowboy Carter picked up three of 11 nominations at the 67th Grammy Awards on Monday (Feb. 3), including Album of the Year. It was Beyoncé’s fifth time nominated for Album of the Year and first time winning. She also won Best Country Album — the first Black artist to win this category — and Best Country Duo/Group Performance. She’s been nominated for 99 Grammy awards — the most in history — and won 35.

Cowboy Carter has impacted music by reinterpreting elements of country, rock and roll, folk, rhythm and blues, pop, psychedelic soul, and bluegrass genres. Weaving in radio broadcasts by the fictional “KNTRY Radio Texas,” country legends Dolly Parton, Linda Martell, and Willie Nelson were featured as disc jockeys and collaborators across several tracks.
The album debuted at number one on several charts, including the Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums chart, making Beyoncé the first Black woman to achieve this milestone.
