On Saturday, Mar. 7, Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment will be hosting its celebration for International Women’s Day. The night’s broadcast will be hosted by Debbie Little and Meadow Twaddle, who will be joined by Heather Wilder, who will be conducting on-site back-paddock interviews.
Melissa Keith, the full-time announcer at Rideau Carlton, will also be on hand to call the races for the night. On Friday and Saturday night, Kiara Morgan will be handling the FanDuel TV duties.
The celebration will include sizzle videos and interviews with some of the top female trainers, drivers and grooms in the industry. There will also be races taking place throughout the night that feature an all-female driver field.
International Women’s Day, which is on Mar. 8, is a time to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Additionally, it serves as a reminder that the fair and equal treatment of women in society should be prioritized.
Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment has hosted the celebration at the Meadowlands Racetrack in previous years and will continue to keep the tradition going. The event serves as a way to honor the women that have made a name for themselves in the industry and inspires others.
