This year is expected to be the busiest Memorial Day weekend in 23 years, with over 42 million people across the country getting in their cars to kickoff the start of summertime fun, according to AAA.
If you’re staying home in the Meadowlands area, here are some things to consider if you’re not sure what to do this weekend.
Win Taylor Swift Tickets at American Dream, East Rutherford
A DJ is spinning Taylor Swift songs to welcome fans to soldout shows at MetLife Stadium on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Tickets will be raffled for shows each day. There will also be photo ops, shopping, food and drinks, geared for fans before the MetLife shows.

Sweepstakes run 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, May 26 to Sunday, May 28. The winners will be announced live at 5 p.m. and winners must be onsite to collect tickets at the following spots:
● The Dream Stage, Court A, Level 1, on May 26 and May 27
● Court C, Level 1 on May 28
Ninja Turtles at American Dream, East Rutherford
Dance and jam out on with the Ninja Turtles as they throw their Ninjitsu Jam. Watch a few episodes as you create your own TMNT masks all while keeping your eyes open for your favorite Ninja turtle and for members of the Footclan. The event is 12-7 p.m. at Nickelodeon Universe.
Memorial Day Mirror Maze at American Dream, East Rutherford
Enjoy patriotic music and a festive colorful light show of red, white and blue at the Mirror Maze on Court A, Level 1. Through Monday, May 29, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Take Go Karts for a Spin at RPM, Jersey City
RPM Mega-Track is the world’s longest go-kart track, at more than 2,200 feet long with a 72-second lap time. Active military members can come by on Memorial Day for a free race.

See the Spirit of Fleet Week From Liberty State Park, Jersey City
There will be U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps helicopter demos, U.S. Coast Guard search & rescue demos, a Navy dive tank, static displays, a Marine Corps battle color detachment, Coast Guard silent drill team and the Navy band.
Dinosaurs Park Opens This Weekend
Field Station: Dinosaurs! The park opens for the season on Saturday, May 27, and is open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29. Located at Overpeck County Park, Henry Hoebel Area, Fort Lee Road in Leonia, Field Station: Dinosaurs features over 30 life-sized moving, realistic dinosaurs, live shows, games, activities, and special events.
