If you’re in business, you need a marketing plan and here is your chance to get one for no charge presented by Darren Jones, of Jones Strategy & Consulting Group, and sponsored by the Meadowlands Chamber Small Business Council.
Jones promises the three hours you invest from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18 will ensure you walk away with an overall marketing strategy you can employ for whatever business you have. In three hours, he will help you chop through the “analysis paralysis” that often is the reason new businesses and old can get tripped up in non-action.

This marketing bootcamp is the first official that Jones built after trialing others and seeing what would be a good overview and fit. This bootcamp is meant to be a foundation to get your marketing up and running and with a direction to keep going forward.
Jones purposely works in small groups to better access the hesitation businesses have when it comes to taking that next step, or even the first step. At this bootcamp, he will aims to ensure everyone leaves with a plan that turns analysis paralysis into execution.
About Darren Jones & Jones Strategy & Consulting Group
An adjunct professor at New York University, Jones brings his expertise from the Plentiful App, where he was instrumental in onboarding new food pantries. He found, however, that merely onboarding new users wasn’t enough.
Jones said he saw firsthand that providing needed training meant users could take advantage of the app’s many features. By helping nonprofits utilize the app, they were better able to service their client base, making the training effort a win-win for everyone.
Meadowlands Chamber’s Helping Hand
While he saw the direction he wanted to take as a small business, it wasn’t until Jones met a member at the Meadowlands Chamber (MC) that he found the guidance he needed. Jones said that connecting with Kathleen Cronin, Head of Outreach at the New Jersey Small Business Development Center (NJSBDC), made all the difference. As a mentor, Cronin gave him the confidence he needed to launch his own business.
Headquartered at Ramapo College in Bergen County (with branches across the state at numerous universities), the NJSBDC is among the leading statewide organizations delivering business advisory services and training to established and new small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs), and high-impact, growth-oriented businesses.
Its mission is helping ensure SMBs have access to resources necessary for success. Expert guidance is provided, along with a vast network of information.
about empowerment small and medium-sized businesses through expert guidance and access to a network of resources, fostering innovation, and driving sustainable economic development across the state.
Jones also helped businesses at the MC, giving a marketing hand to Carlstadt’s School of Rock when it launched nearly two years ago in the Meadowlands area.
