Dream Nations Cup in Full Swing at American Dream, Countries from Across the World Put Hockey Teams on Display

At The Rink at American Dream, the Dream Nations Cup will be taking place from May 27 to June 1. The competition pits international hockey teams from across the world against one another, to highlight their developmental teams.

Nations across six continents will be participating in the tournament. It works as a way to crown the most successful team, while simultaneously giving more exposure to teams and countries that are in need of it.

In the men’s division the participants are Armenia, Indigenous, Egypt, Mexico, Caribbean, Puerto Rico, Central America, South Korea, Brazil and Pakistan. The field includes many familiar faces from last year’s tournament with some new additions.

For the women’s division, the participants are the Caribbean, Egypt, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Lebanon and South Korea. Netherlands are the current defending champions in the women’s division and will look to stay on top.

The men’s division is split up into two divisions, while the women’s is composed of just one. Currently, Armenia leads the first men’s division, while the Caribbean leads the second men’s division. The Caribbean also currently leads in the women’s division, putting on a dominant performance against the defending champions.

With men’s reigning champions, Algeria not participating and women’s reigning champions, Netherlands, currently sitting in last place, it seems likely that a new winner will be crowned for both the men’s and women’s divisions. For those that would like to see who the next champion is, entry to watch is free.
