Flurry of Fireworks Set to Take Place This 4th of July Weekend in the Meadowlands, Here’s Where

With the 4th of July just around the corner, the Meadowlands is preparing for a plethora of fireworks shows in the coming week to keep citizens entertained. The 4th of July is the pinnacle of summer, filled with the fireworks, barbecue food and even live music at times. Towns across the Meadowlands are hosting their own events, getting into the holiday’s festivities.

With many towns holding fireworks shows, it can be hard to keep track of. Find some of the events taking place this weekend below.

Overpeck County Park, Ridgefield Park, July 4

Bergen County’s “Star-Spangled Spectacular” is returning to Overpeck County Park for the second year and is filled with activities for everyone to enjoy. The event includes children’s activities, roughly two dozen food trucks and a beer and wine garden. The night will conclude with fireworks.

“Last year’s Star-Spangled Spectacular marked a new tradition for Bergen County, and we’re proud to build on that momentum in 2025,” Bergen County executive Jim Tedesco said. “With the return of fireworks and a world-class performance by the New Jersey Wind Symphony, we invite families from across the county to come together at Overpeck Park as we celebrate our country’s independence and look ahead to America’s 250th birthday in 2026.”

There will also be a live performance from the New Jersey Wind Symphony, with the celebration kicking off at 2:30 p.m.

Cliff Gennarelli Sports Complex, Paramus, July 4

Paramus is hosting a fireworks and food truck festival to celebrate this Fourth of July. The celebration will kick off with a parade at 9 a.m. The festivities continue on July 6, where there will be fireworks, live music and food trucks at 6 p.m.

Meadowlands Racetrack, East Rutherford, July 5

Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment is hosting a fan appreciation night on July 5, offering great deals for all guests, which begins at 7 p.m.. Concessions items such as hot dogs, pretzels, popcorn and soda are only $1 for the night. The event will conclude with fireworks to celebrate the holiday.

255 Riverside Ave, Lyndhurst, June 30

Lyndhurst is kicking off the holiday’s festivities early, with fireworks on June 30, starting at 6 p.m. Hosted by the Department of Parks and Recreation, it is a fun experience for all. It will also serve as a day to celebrate Independence Day, even if a few days early.

Veterans Field, Ridgewood, July 4

Starting at 6 p.m., Ridgewood will be hosting its 115th Annual Fourth of July celebration. The event will include live music, a 50/50 drawing and food. To conclude, there will be a fireworks display for all to enjoy.
