The Meadowlands is preparing for another week of football, as both the Jets and Giants seek their first win. Both teams have entertaining storylines heading into the week, with the Giants recently announcing a change at the quarterback position. The Jets, on the other hand, will be taking the field for Monday Night Football in their most favorable matchup yet.
New York Jets at Miami Dolphins
On Monday, Sept. 29 at 7:15 p.m., the Jets will once again be playing in Florida, this time against a divisional rival in the Miami Dolphins. The Jets nearly pulled off an improbable comeback against the Buccaneers last week, losing on a last-second field goal. With two near-wins against solid competition, this week gives them the best odds to find their first win.

The Dolphins and Jets both enter Week 4 with a winless record of 0-3, while only one can erase their 0. The team is still unsure of which quarterback they will be rolling out on Monday, as concerns of Justin Fields’ concussion looms.
While the Jets’ record hasn’t shown it, new coach Aaron Glenn is beginning to build a winning culture within the Jets organization and the players are behind him. The team has scratched and clawed their way into several games this season and are hoping to finally get the results they’re searching for this week.
The Jets are still slight underdogs against the Dolphins, though it is the most even matchup they’ve had yet. Only three weeks into the season, the Jets still have plenty of time remaining to get their momentum going.
Los Angeles Chargers vs. New York Giants
The Giants’ offense was unable to build off its impressive Week 2 performance last week, which has led to a change for the team. Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart will be starting for the team this Sunday, Sept. 28, as they take on the Los Angeles Chargers at 1 p.m.
Dart’s Giants debut will take place in front of a home crowd, as MetLife Stadium hosts the game. Another Giants rookie, Cam Skattebo, has been establishing himself as a dominant presence for the team. In their most recent game against the Chiefs, he led the team in both rushing and receiving yards.
The Giants will have their match set for them with the Chargers, who are currently undefeated, serving as a tough test for Dart’s first game. Regardless of the outcome, it brings hope for the future of the young team, with Skattebo, Nabers and now Dart set to lead the team for years to come.
Both teams are going to be relying on their young talent heading into this week. While the success may not be showing up now, they are laying the foundation for the coming seasons and beyond.
