The Meadowlands had another exciting week of football, as the Giants look to ride the momentum from their dominant upset victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football. The Jets, on the other hand, took their game against the Denver Broncos to the very last seconds in London, displaying an impressive defense.
Carolina Panthers vs. New York Jets
The New York Jets will be hosting the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. at MetLife Stadium. The Jets are still in search of their first win of the season against a 3-3 Panthers team this week. The Jets enter the game as slight underdogs, though the odds are almost even.

The Jets will be at a disadvantage entering the week, as star wide receiver Garrett Wilson will be out for at least a few weeks with an injury. Justin Fields will turn to some of the team’s other offensive threats, which may see more activity for rookie tight end Mason Taylor and rookie wide receiver Arian Smith.
In last week’s matchup, the defense recorded its first takeaway of the season in the first quarter and was able to continue that stellar defensive play throughout the rest of the game. This week, the team will hope to get the offense going, as they continue to dominate on the defensive side of the ball.
New York Giants vs. Denver Broncos
The Giants will be the second Meadowlands team that the Broncos are taking on in their past two games. The Broncos narrowly defeated the Jets thanks to an impressive performance from their defense, but they will be taking on a Giants offense that posted 34 points against the defending champion Eagles less than a week ago.
Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo made a name for themselves in the team’s primetime game, both showing why they are the future of the team. The rookie duo recorded a combined five touchdowns in their most recent contest, accounting for all of the team’s points.
This week, facing a team that dominated defensively in their previous outing, the rookies will have a difficult task ahead of them. However, they have shown that they are capable of beating any team after their statement win over the Eagles. As the Giants face the Broncos on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 4:05 p.m., they will be in search of their second consecutive win as an underdog.
The Jets and Giants will both be looking for impressive performances from their quarterbacks this week. Fields is hoping to bounce back from last week, while Dart hopes to continue his impressive start to his rookie campaign. The two teams will both take the field on Sunday, in search of a win.
