Total Gaming Revenue for casinos, horse racetracks, and their online partners was $600.8 million for April 2026, reflecting 12.0% growth when compared to $536.6 million reported for April 2025, according to the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE).

Online, IRL, and Hybrid Experiences

Internet gaming revenue topped casino gains for the eighth consecutive month, with April sportsbooks wagers totaling $934.2 million, with revenue of $102.1 million.

Year-to-date Total Gaming Revenue was $2.30 billion through April 2026, reflecting 8.6% growth when compared to $2.12 billion reported for the prior year-to-date period, NJDGE reported. Total Gross Revenue Taxes were $86.1 million for April 2026 and $332.1 million for the year-to-date through April 2026.

The continuing gains in New Jersey’s gambling industry have been largely driven by online and sports betting, but in-person casino play has also increased. In Atlantic City, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, Ocean Casino Resort, and Resorts Casino Hotel generated more in-person gambling revenue than they did before the pandemic.

In internet gambling, FanDuel, partnered with Golden Nugget, led the market with $58.8 million in revenue, up 11.4% from a year earlier. DraftKings, aligned with Resorts Casino Hotel, generated $41.9 million, down 10.6%, while BetMGM, partnered with Borgata, posted $32.7 million, up 10.4%.

Gambling Revenue Across the United States

For the sixth straight year, the U.S. commercial gaming industry has set a new revenue record. Revenue reached $78.6 billion in 2025, up 9.1% year-over-year and generating $17.9 billion in gaming tax revenue for state and local governments, according to AmericanGaming.org.

Mississippi was the only state to report a loss among the 38 U.S. jurisdictions with commercial casino or sports betting operations, according to the “State of the States 2026: The AGA Survey of the Commercial Casino Industry.”

The gaming industry provides an estimated 1.8 million jobs across the United States, according to the report.
