To celebrate the holiday season, the Meadowlands-headquartered Goya company in Secaucus, New Jersey donated more than 300,000 pounds of food and many helping hands to those less fortunate in communities across the United States.
Through the company’s Goya Gives global initiative, the 88-year-old company continues to donate food every holiday season. The family-owned firm continues providing essential nourishment and comfort to families and individuals to those in need.
“Goya is deeply committed to our communities and stands ready to help those in need, especially during the holiday season,” said Goya Foods CEO & President Bob Unanue.
“With the support of community partners including local law enforcement, food banks, shelters, churches, and many other organizations, we can ensure that families, children, and students in need have a warm meal on Thanksgiving. It’s vital that we come together and remind ourselves of the importance of giving back and giving thanks,” Unanue added.
As so many Americans feel the negative impact of inflation and the even higher costs of groceries, the company said it’s even more critical than ever to extend a helping hand.
Through Goya Gives, the company aims at always being at the forefront of natural disasters and humanitarian relief efforts, donating millions of pounds of food each year in the U.S. and worldwide.
