Goya has added another accolade to their already impressive reputation with their latest win at the 2023 Mario Solinas Quality Awards in the Packers category for extra virgin olive oils. Goya’s efforts to craft the best possible virgin olive oils for their customers through the use of the best olives grown in southern Spain helped them walk away with this award.

GOYA® Unico Extra Virgin Olive Oil utilizes the very best Hojiblanca and Picuda varieties in Andalusia. With a strong aroma of fresh herbs and tomatoes, it provides the consumer with a sensory experience.

Bob Unanue, President and CEO of Goya Foods, Goya Europa’s Director Elías Picado Fernández, Goya Spain’s General Manager Antonio Carrasco, and Quality and International Sales Managers, Antonio Martín and Philippe Parouty accepted the award at the International Olive Council’s headquarters in Spain, where the awards ceremony was held.

After their victory, General Manager of Goya Spain, Antonio Carrasco stated “We are extremely proud of receiving this award from the International Olive Council, which has recognized the dedication of Goya Spain since it was founded in 1974, for packing extra virgin olive oils made from the best olives harvested from groves in the south of Spain.”

The Mario Solinas Quality Award is a significant accolade for all producers and packers. Every year, the competition is organized by the International Olive Council to highlight companies that market the highest quality extra virgin olive oils over the globe.

Including the new addition of the Mario Solinas Quality Award, Goya Spain extra virgin olive oils have had the honor of receiving 260 awards and recognitions from contests across the world.
