If you’re heading the the Meadowlands Racetrack for the 99th Hambletonian on Saturday, Aug. 3, there are some parking issues people should consider and other fun things to know.
Because the Soccer Champions Tour is happening at MetLife Stadium on the same day as the Hambletonian, there could be some arrival and parking snarls. Hambo Day guests should arrive at the racetrack before 2 p.m. to avoid issues.
When arriving, attendees should stay to the right when entering the toll plazas and let toll attendants know they are going to the Racetrack. If possible, people should use the Paterson Plank Road entrance to enter the Meadowlands Racetrack complex.
Doors open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, with giveaways beginning immediately, including a 2024 Hambletonian baseball cap for adults and children. The first race is at noon. Post time for the Hambletonian is 4:45 p.m. and 6:08 p.m. for the Hambletonian Oaks.
Hambo Day at Meadowlands Racing and Entertainment is a day of fun for the entire family, including legendary races, carnival rides, games, pony rides, hat contest, food trucks, live music, and giveaways.
