“Sunny day. Sweepin’ the clouds away. On my way to where the air is sweet. Can you tell me how to get. How to get to Sesame Street?”
Soon you can get to Sesame Street right in the Meadowlands in East Rutherford at American Dream — and help is needed. The Sesame Street Learn & Play Educational Play Center is opening in early November and will begin the hiring of their inaugural
staff. The new General Manager Bryan Gaus will be on hand to start building his team.
American Dream will be hosting a two-day hiring event on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 26 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Additionally, Dream Works Water Park will be re-opening in early to mid-November with new rides, eating options and will be looking to bolster their staff.

The interviews will be held around the perimeter of the Ice Rink on the second level. The entrance to the location is closest to Toys R Us and It’s Sugar level 2.
The Sesame Street Learn & Play Educational Play Center at American Dream will be the first of several U.S. locations. The 3 million-square-foot entertainment facility and shopping center is home to an indoor waterpark, theme park, indoor ski slope, 300-foot Ferris wheel, interactive museums and exhibits, the New Jersey Hall of Fame, and over 200 stores and 50 dining options.
The 13,000 square-foot Educational Play Center will transport children to Sesame Street, inviting them to immersive experiences that foster playful learning with their favorite furry friends.
The state-of-the-art facility will feature the iconic 123 Sesame Street building stoop, Oscar’s trash can and more. Favorite characters will engage the whole family with photo ops and Big Bird will tell stories at his nest. Abby and Elmo will make surprise visits.
“Sesame Street has been a cherished brand for over 50 years, and we are beyond thrilled to introduce Sesame Street Learn & Play at American Dream,” said American Dream Senior Vice President and General Manager Bryan Gaus.
“Generations of children have grown up with the iconic show, and, now, kids and those young at heart can engage with Sesame Street firsthand at American Dream,” Gaus added.
Children will learn about the rainforest as they step into Elmo’s World, role-play a shopping experience in Hooper’s Store, explore Abby Cadabby’s magical garden, laugh with Bert and Ernie and much more.
“From educational play centers to theme parks to live shows and more, Sesame Workshop has always been committed to creating engaging, joyful experiences for children, families and fans,” said Sesame Workshop Senior Vice President, Global Strategic Partnerships & Themed Entertainment Jennifer Ahearn.
At the Sesame Street Community Center, kids will enjoy hands-on arts & crafts, and, at the Bike Shop, they’ll learn about cause and effect with cranks and gears. For even more fun, kids can head over to the Sesame Street Playground, where they can climb, slide and explore, discovering fun facts about nature along the way. There will also be a separate toddler play area for younger guests.
Party rooms will also be available for booking events and the Sesame Street retail store will complement the memorable experience.
