Join Family Promise of Bergen County in Hike to Support Families Facing Housing & Food Insecurity This Weekend

On Sunday, May 3, Family Promise of Bergen County will be hosting the Family Promise Hike for Hope at Van Neste Square in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Check-ins for the event begin at 11 a.m., with the walk itself starting at 1 p.m.

Since 1993, Family Promise of Bergen County’s Hike for Hope has been a way for members of the community to come together and go on a three-mile walk every spring. The walk’s purpose is to raise awareness for families facing housing and food insecurity in the community.

In addition to the hike, the event will include activities, giveaways, snacks, music, games, contests, prizes and more. All proceeds will go towards Family Promise’s programs designed to help working families facing food and housing insecurity.

Registration fees for the event cost $30 for adults (18+), $15 for children (6-17) and free for any guests under the age of five. Participants of all ages will be able to have an entertaining time at the event, with a variety of activities meant for people of all ages. While enjoying themselves, guests will also be helping contribute to a noble cause in the community. Over $21,000 has already been raised for Sunday’s event, looking to help those in need.
