The Long-Term Care Division (LTC) at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, which is the largest licensed nursing home in New Jersey and one of only 6% to receive Joint Commission accreditation, has been recognized on Newsweek’s Best Nursing Homes 2025 list. This is the third time the Bergen New Bridge LTC Division has received this recognition.
The Best Nursing Homes 2025 ranking identifies the nation’s top facilities and are awarded by state. Nursing homes in the 25 states with the highest number of facilities were included. The rankings are based on criteria including a performance data score, a reputation score, and a score for being accredited by the Joint Commission.
“This recognition is a reflection of the exceptional, compassionate, high-quality care our team provides to our residents and their loved ones,” said Deborah Visconi, President and CEO of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. “Our LTC Division is committed to uplifting the quality of life for our residents and I am incredibly proud of the work they do here every day.”
Bergen New Bridge Medical Center has been providing comprehensive, high-quality long term care services for more than 75 years. As a full service, accredited medical center, Bergen New Bridge provides a scope of services far exceeding those offered in a standard nursing home environment. Their highly trained, skilled staff provide nursing care 24 hours per day, seven days per week as well as access to specialized physicians on site with a focus on the individual needs of each of its residents. Bergen New Bridge is also proud to partner with Mill Gardens in Midland Park, which provides an advanced residential assisted living experience.
The Medical Center also provides specialized dementia and Alzheimer’s care as well as respite care services for caregivers. The LTC Division offers multicultural specialized care for the Korean, Muslim, and LGBTQ+ communities. Bergen New Bridge was recognized earlier this year as a 2024 SAGECare Platinum Credentialed Provider. This credential is a testament to the LTC Division’s unwavering commitment to providing an inclusive and affirming environment for LGBTQ+ older adults.
