The Meadowlands will be busy this weekend with plenty of exciting events taking place across the region to keep everyone entertained. The events span across the entire region, ranging from MetLife Stadium to the Garden State Plaza. To learn more about some of the many events in store this weekend, read below.
Luke Combs Comes to MetLife Stadium
Country music superstar Luke Combs is bringing his Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour to East Rutherford for two days, on July 19 & 20. Combs will be joined by special guests, Cody Jinks, Charles Wesley Godwin, Hailey Whitters and Wilder Blue on Friday and Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny, Drew Parker and Colby Acuff on Saturday.
“We got an opportunity to do two shows in some U.S. markets on the World Tour, but when I found out we were going to be able to do two shows for most all of the cities on the 2024 tour, I decided I wanted each show to have their own unique set up of openers, as well as my own unique setlist,” Combs said when discussing the tour. “I thought this would give people an opportunity to come to both nights if they want, but see two completely different shows.”
Before Luke Combs takes the stage at MetLife Stadium, you can head to American Dream, which is just a few minutes away, as they host country festivities with food and beverages in preparation for the concert.
LEAD FEST Carnival Returns to Garden State Plaza
The L.E.A.D. Summerfest Carnival is coming back to the Garden State Plaza in Paramus after a successful run a little over a month ago. The carnival will be running from July 18 to July 28. Just as before, the event will offer families a fun time filled with exhilarating rides, exciting games and delicious food.
Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment’s Corn-tastic Celebration
On Saturday, July 20, the Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment will be hosting a ‘Corn-tastic’ event. The festivities include various competitions, including corn eating, corn carrying and corn husking. Winners of the competitions will earn a $500 betting voucher, while all participants selected will receive a $25 voucher. Participants in the competitions must be 18+ to enter. Everyone in attendance will be rewarded, however, as all guests receive a free ear of grilled, fresh corn.
In addition, guests can enjoy live harness racing at the Meadowlands Racetrack while the festivities occur.
The Rink at American Dream Hosts the Roller Dreamin’ Showdown
The Rink at American Dream will be hosting the Roller Dreamin’ Showdown on July 20 & 21, offering a great time for sports fans or anyone looking to be active and have a fun time. The tournament ensures a thrilling experience for all involved and nice, family-friendly entertainment.
