One of the biggest sporting events of the year is a few days away and Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment will be celebrating it all month long. March Madness, the iconic NCAA tournament featuring the top 64 teams in college basketball is set to begin on Mar. 19 for the first round of games, which will all be streamed at the Meadowlands Racetrack.
Guests have the opportunity to watch the games in two locations, either the Lounge or the FanDuel Sportsbook. Both venues offer an optimal viewing experience for fans, with a variety of screens playing all the games lined up for each day’s slate.
The first of four matches to decide which teams advance to the official tournament bracket begin on Tuesday, Mar. 17 and last until Mar. 18. The games will be streamed only at the FanDuel Sportsbook. Following that, the first round is set to kick off on Thursday, Mar. 19 and end on Mar. 20. As the rounds compete, games will become more spread out, however, Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment will be streaming all the games until the tournament’s conclusion on Apr. 6.
The tournament is set to be full of chaos, shocking upsets, dominant performances and game winners, as has become expected. The Garden State is no stranger to this madness, as many New Jersey teams have been the cause of some of the tournament’s most shocking upsets.
Infamously, Fairleigh Dickinson University became the second 16-seed in the tournament’s history to defeat a top-seeded team after defeating Purdue in 2023. That same year, Princeton made it all the way to the sweet 16 as a 15-seed. The year prior, St. Peter’s became the first 15-seed to reach the elite eight.
New Jersey’s history in the tournament is vast and while no teams from the state will be competing this year, there is still plenty of chaos to be expected in this year’s tournament. For those looking to get in on the action, the Meadowlands Racetrack offers the perfect atmosphere for all fans.
