Meadowlands-Area Native Jack Antonoff Earns Seven Grammy Nods

New Jersey will be represented on the Red Carpet when the 2026 Grammy Awards shine a spotlight on the year’s biggest albums and songs on Sunday, Feb. 1.

Jack Antonoff, a Bergen County native, has his fingerprints all over this year’s top Grammy categories. As one of the most influential producers and songwriters of his generation, Antonoff enters the ceremony as one of its most-nominated talents, with credits spanning Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.

Bergen County Roots Reach Taylor Swift

One of this year’s most-nominated songwriters and producers, Antonoff was born in Bergenfield, New Jersey, and grew up in New Milford and Woodcliff Lake, attending school in the area before launching his music career, according to Grammy.com.

A prominent figure in pop music, Antonoff is an 11-time Grammy winner and is among the top names behind many of this year’s most-nominated recordings, with seven nominations as a producer, songwriter, and creative. He has long collaborated with artists including Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Lorde, and others. His signature sound blends indie rock, pop, and electronic elements.

This year’s nominations bring his career total to 37. His 2026 Grammy nominations include Album of the Year for “The Tortured Poets Department” with Swift and “Short n’ Sweet” with Carpenter, as well as Song of the Year for Swift’s “Fortnight” and Carpenter’s “Please Please Please.”

Swift was at his 2023 New Jersey wedding to actress Margaret Qualley, which reportedly featured several famous friends and family.

Producers and songwriters like him help define not just individual hits, but the sonic identity of an era — deciding how records feel, move, and ultimately connect with listeners.
