Meadowlands Chamber outlines details of new MCHQ

In a note from Meadowlands Chamber (MC) President & CEO Jim Kirkos, the MC released information on its new MCHQ location in Lyndhurst, including renderings and capital campaign details. With state-of-the-art technology integration aimed at building more business opportunities, the new space will also include the Meadowlands first Visitors Center and a dynamic Business Hub that will be open to members every day.

To date, the MC has reached approximately 75% of its funding goal. Here is the text of the note, which was sent on Aug. 6 to the MC’s membership of over 1,100 organizations:

Dear Members,

This is a great time to be a member of the Meadowlands Chamber (MC)!

At our most recent Monthly Membership Meeting, I recapped our efforts to rebrand the MC and I revealed the details of the MC’s plans to relocate offices to a Bergman Realty building at 1099 Wall Street West in the Lyndhurst Corporate Park. We have dubbed this project the new MCHQ (Amazon will have nothing on us!) because we believe we are building the chamber of the future on behalf of our membership.

Our new home will more than double our space allowing us a modern and efficient office environment for our management team. It will also create the first Meadowlands Visitors Center and a dynamic Business Hub open to members every day as part of your membership. The space will offer huddle rooms, open office areas and ideation & collaboration zones to enhance networking. We will also build a podcast studio, two video conference rooms and a state-of-the-art Innovation Learning Center with a capacity of 80 people. The space will be powered by technologies typical only to the largest corporations, including a jumbo video wall, audio & video studio capabilities, ultra-secure WiFi, wireless printing and more.

Meet with a member, prepare a proposal, make a presentation to a client, work on MC committee initiatives or come to learn. This will be your space to use as a tool.

The MC’s leadership is following our strategic business plan to deliver more value to our members. We believe this new space will greatly enhance our ability to offer creative new ways for you and your key staff to learn, network and build business opportunities–while utilizing resources that might not be available to you otherwise.

I am so very proud to tell you that we are at approximately 75% of our goal, just with the participation of our current board of advisors. That should be a great example of the confidence and support this project has.

I know you will be extremely proud to be a member when you see what we are building. Together we will elevate the MC’s effectiveness, especially for small and start-up businesses, while positioning our organization to be among the very best in the country.

Please feel free to contact me at jkirkos@meadowlands.org or my direct desk at (201) 528-2941 should you have any question on this initiative and how you can be a part of it.

With great excitement, pride & anticipation,

Jim Kirkos
