In celebration of the 100th anniversary of America’s greatest harness race, the Hambletonian Society, the Meadowlands Racetrack and Ghost Hawk Brewing Company have teamed up to craft a drink symbolic of the event. Trotter’s Gold 2025 will be available for guests and fans to purchase as they enjoy ‘Harness Racing’s Greatest Day’.
Ghost Hawk Brewing Company, based out of Clifton, New Jersey, has been working with the Meadowlands Racetrack to provide the official beer of the Hambletonian since 2021. This year’s collaboration is special, however, honoring the 100th anniversary of the race. The brewery has crafted a 5% ABV American Golden Ale brewed with Pilsner malt and Mt. Hood hops to curate a perfect combination of cereal grain flavors, with floral, soft and spicy notes. Ghost Hawk Brewing Company made sure to make the official beer of the Hambletonian a special one this year, due to its significance.
The beer label pays its respects to the Hambletonian’s history, with Rysdyk’s Hambletonian and the Hambletonian featured. The drink is brewed exclusively for the 100th rendition of the Hambletonian. Cans are available and will be sold at the Meadowlands Racetrack.
Spending many years working with the Meadowlands Racetrack and the Hambletonian Society, Ghost Hawk Brewing Company understands the importance of this event. Even more so, they understand the added impact of this being its 100th anniversary, which is why they have specifically crafted Trotter’s Gold 2025 specifically for this event.
The Hambletonian takes place on Saturday, Aug. 2, featuring a day of harness racing and fun. Before watching some of harness racing’s biggest races take place, guests can enjoy this exclusive ale at the Meadowlands Racetrack.
