Meadowlands Racetrack Honors Several Racing Retirees This Saturday

At the Meadowlands Racetrack on Saturday, Nov. 25, the FanDuel Championships & Fall Final Four Finals will feature the best names in harness racing competing on the track.

In recent years, retirement ceremonies have also taken place on this night of racing. This year, four of racing’s biggest stars – Test of Faith, Tattoo Artist, Bella Bellini, and Confederate will all be recognized.

Test of Faith and Bella Bellini, in particular, will be presented with video tributes to honor their outstanding career accolades.

Test of Faith, the 2021 Horse of the Year, earned over $2.4 million and had three crucial Meadowlands wins – the 2021 Breeders Crown Filly Pace, Dorothy Haughton, and the Graduate Mares Pace.

Bella Bellini, the 2022 Trotter of the Year, brought in $2.1 million with some of her biggest winnings coming at the Meadowlands, dominating the 2021 Hambletonian Oaks, the Graduate Mares Trot, TVG Mare Open, the Dr. John R. Steele Memorial and the Six Pack Finals.

Tattoo Artist was the 2020 Canadian 3yo Pacing Colt of the Year and gained over $2.7 million while winning the 2023 Canadian Pacing Derby.

Confederate has had a dominant year winning almost every significant divisional race including the Meadowlands Pace, Cane Pace, and the Breeders Crown.

“We have been blessed to see these talented horses race at the Meadowlands over the last few years,” said Jason Settlemoir, COO and GM of the Meadowlands Racetrack. “It’s only fitting we honor these athletes on one of our biggest nights of racing.”
