UFC President and CEO Dana White dubbed the upcoming UFC 300 as ‘The Greatest Fight Card Ever Assembled’ and the hype around the event has backed up that statement. The Meadowlands Racetrack hosts a watch party each month for the pay-per-view event, but they have decided to go above and beyond in the spirit of this historic card.

Prior to the fight, at 8 pm, UFC Welterweight Champion and #3 pound-for-pound fighter Leon Edwards will be holding a meet and greet in the Gallery. Edwards is one of the most electric fighters in the UFC, having held the welterweight title since August 2022, with his last official loss taking place nearly a decade ago in 2015. If you would like to watch this card on massive HD TV screens, the FanDuel Sportsbook at the Meadowlands Racetrack will be playing the card. If there’s a fighter that you feel confident in, you can also enter wagers at the Sportsbook through either their self-service or teller-operated machines.

UFC Returns to Garden State This June

A few weeks ago, New Jersey hosted a Fight Night at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. The card was headlined by Elmwood Park native Erin Blanchfield and Manon Fiorot. However, the UFC will be upgrading from Fight Nights, as a pay-per-view card will be coming to Newark this June.

On Saturday, Jun. 1, the Prudential Center will host UFC 302, marking the arena’s tenth event with the organization since 2007. While the main event for the card is still to be announced, Sean Strickland and UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev are among some of the fighters rumored to fight.

The Prudential Center most recently hosted the organization in May 2023 for UFC 288, where they drew a gate total of over $5 million. Tickets for UFC 302 will go on sale on Friday, Apr. 12, at Ticketmaster.com.

“The city of Newark and Prudential Center have always been great partners to us,” said UFC President & CEO Dana White. “After setting a new arena record last year, I wanted to bring another huge event back to New Jersey to kick-off the summer with another big UFC event. UFC 302 is going to be fun!”
