Save Your Appetite For Epic Sloppy Track Stack Food Challenge

Meadowlands Racetrack is introducing a brand-new event to its summer food line-up with the Sloppy Track Stack Food Challenge. This new challenge tasks participants to devour 1lb of brisket, 1lb of pulled pork, 1lb of mac and cheese, 1lb of fries with bacon, 1lb of coleslaw and BBQ sauce all in 30 minutes.

If a participant manages to take down the challenge, they will receive a winner’s circle presentation along with their picture on the PlayMeadowlands.com website, a Backyard BBQ trailer and a free t-shirt. There is a catch, however, as should a particpant fail the challenge they must pay for the $55 meal. The challenge will take place on Fridays and Saturdays from May 5 until Aug. 4.

The Sloppy Track Stack Food Challenge comes during a food-filled summer at the Meadowlands Racetrack. On July 8, the Racetrack will be home of their Annual BBQ Extravaganza. The event will include a collection of food trucks and restaurants competing for a $2,500 prize.

On July 5, the Racetrack will host Burger Battle where participants compete to be crowned as the best burger. The winner will receive a $1,000 grand prize with additional prizes for second and third places.

The Racetrack will host a Seafood Festival on July 29 which will feature different vendors offering a selection of items including shrimp cocktail, lobster rolls, fried clams, fried fish, grilled shrimp, shrimp tacos, crab fries and more.

Each of the food competitions cost $100 for entry. Any interested vendors should email to Rachel Ryan, raryan@playmeadowlands.com

The Racetrack will cap its summer food festivities with the Hambletonian on Aug. 5. While there is no contest for this event, a selection of trucks and vendors will offer a collection of food offerings during the big racing event.
