Meadowlands Racetrack Set to Host First-Ever Corgi Cup This Saturday

After being postponed for just over a month, one of the Meadowlands’ cutest events of the year is set to take place this weekend. Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment will be hosting its first-ever Corgi Cup at the Meadowlands Racetrack on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 6 p.m.

The event combines a night of harness racing, with races from these cute, furry creatures. Both admission and parking for the event are free, so everyone is welcome to watch the adorable dogs compete against one another.

The race consists of 80 canine competitors, with the winner of each qualifying round advancing to the Finals. All contestants were provided with free UnKibble dog food samples and free poop bags as gifts from Spot & Tango, an innovative pet wellness brand focused on changing the dog food industry for the better.

  • 7:50 p.m. (after Race 4)
  • 8:45 p.m. (after Race 6)
  • Final: 9:25 p.m. (after Race 8)

$1,500 is available in prize money, with each winner of the qualifying rounds earning a $100 betting voucher. The winner of the race will be taking home a $500 betting voucher. Regardless of the outcome, all guests are in for a treat.

The inaugural event provides its audience with an entertaining night full of adorable dogs racing in between a typical evening of harness racing. It brings more fun to the Meadowlands Racetrack and is fun for everyone in attendance.
