Meadowlands Racetrack to Host Seafood Fest This Saturday

On Saturday, Aug. 1, from 5 to 11 p.m., the Meadowlands Racetrack will be hosting its Seafood Fest, which brings guests a fun night filled with harness racing and delicious foods. Both admission and parking for the event are free.

There is a wide variety of seafood for visitors to enjoy, ranging from lobster rolls to shrimp tacos to crab fries. Many food trucks will be spread out across the venue, each offering a different and delicious experience for guests. While many of the food trucks specialize in seafood, there are other types of meals that will be available.

Food trucks such as Clyde’s Ice Cream and Uncle Bob’s Kettle Corn will be in attendance, offering sweet treats for visitors, in addition to the plentiful amount of seafood that will be there. Other food trucks will be offering barbecue, Caribbean food and others, in addition to the seafood.

The Meadowlands Racetrack’s Backyard Grill and Bar will also be joining in for the occasion, offering a shrimp cocktail on their menu and more. On top of all of the delicious food that is available, there will be a night of harness racing taking place to keep guests entertained. The races will include eliminations for the Hambletonian and Hambletonian Oaks.

Often referred to as “Harness Racing’s Greatest Day”, Hambletonian Day is one of the biggest events of the year at the Meadowlands Racetrack. With the races set to take place on Saturday, Aug. 8, the elimination races taking place this week will be the final races before the Hambletonian Stakes comes to the region. For now, guests can enjoy an eventful night of harness racing while also having some delicious seafood.
