MetLife Stadium Set to Host First-Ever Two Night Summerslam Next Year

The WWE is returning to MetLife Stadium for the first-ever two-night SummerSlam on Saturday, Aug. 2 and Sunday, Aug. 3. The event was announced by the WWE and the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA) in another historic move for MetLife.

The NJSEA and the newly-formed TKO Group Holdings, who oversee both the WWE and UFC, are no strangers to the Garden State, as both companies have visited the state many times for events ranging from UFC numbered events to WrestleMania. Most recently, the UFC came to the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey for UFC 302.

“New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and the entire NJSEA team have been phenomenal partners, hosting several major UFC events in recent years including the record-breaking UFC 302 in June,” said Peter Dropick, TKO Executive Vice President of Event Development and Operations. “We’re excited to bring WWE back to New Jersey in a major way with the first-ever two-night SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium.”

SummerSlam 2024 in Cleveland Browns Stadium drew a crowd of 57,719 fans, which was the largest gate of any event in the company’s history outside of WrestleMania. The event also set records in the world of viewership, social media and merchandise. With a venue such as MetLife Stadium, it is only expected to do better, with the matches spread out over two nights.

The general ticket on-sale date will be announced later, but fans can visit now to receive an exclusive presale offer by visiting https://www.wwe.com/summerslam-2025-presale.
