Movies & Concerts in the Park Return to Bergen County This Summer

Bergen County Executive James Tedesco III, the Board of Commissioners and the Bergen County Parks Department announced the return of the adored Movies & Music in the Park summer series. The yearly tradition allows local residents to enjoy free concerts and movie screenings, to spend the summer outdoors, enjoying the entertainment provided by Bergen County.

There will be 25 different film screenings and concert performances across four county parks, with admission to each event being free. The four parks that will be hosting the summer series are Van Saun County Park in Paramus, Overpeck Park in Ridgefield Park, Riverside County Park in North Arlington and Pascack Brook County Park in Westwood.

“Movies & Music in the Park has always been one of our favorite seasonal traditions, and we are thrilled for this year’s summer lineup,” said Bergen County Executive, Jim Tedesco.“We know so many are excited for this year’s schedule, so we hope you can make it and enjoy a free, relaxing night out with your family and friends.”

The first concert is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 7, with Shake Rattle & Soul, a 60’s-70’s pop and rock n’ roll group, slated to perform at The Stage at Riverside County Park. The first movie screening will be occurring the following day, on Wednesday, July 8, with a showing of Captain America: Brave New World at Pascack Brook County Park.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and snacks to make their viewing experience as enjoyable as possible. The summer series features some of the biggest blockbuster movies and concert performances from musicians that span across a wide variety of genres.

Bergen County residents can spend their summer enjoying the free entertainment offered by the summer series, providing an entertaining and easy way to spend a warm summer night. With movie and music options for everyone to enjoy, it makes it a perfect way to watch the entertainment in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
