The 2026 World Cup kits for the 2026 U.S. Soccer Men’s National Team (USMNT), including the Home Kit produced by Nike, were officially unveiled this week by U.S. Soccer and Nike.
Two jerseys were created — one with stars, one with stripes. The 2026 USA kit is a throwback to the classic men’s kit worn when the U.S. hosted the 1994 World Cup. The design is also inspired by the American flag and the 2012 home jersey, according to ESPN and other reports. Nike has served as the official apparel partner of U.S. Soccer since 1995, with a 10-year agreement expiring
Uniformity Across Teams
For the first time, the 27 teams representing the U.S. in the lead-up to the 2026 World Cup (including men’s and women’s, youth, and senior teams) will wear the same kits. The kits include two distinct home and away jersey designs, plus a separate goalkeeper kit.
The world’s biggest sporting event concludes with the final match in the U.S. at MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
“A national team jersey represents the pride of wearing the crest, not just for players on the field, but also for the fans who support them every step of the way,” Dave Wright, chief commercial officer of U.S. Soccer, said in a statement.

“With the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup coming to the United States, we’re excited to see players across all 27 of our National Teams and supporters across the country wearing this kit as we build toward an incredible moment for the game,” Wright added.
Collaborative Design Effort
Design workshops and listening sessions included players’ input regarding the look, feel, and fit of the kits for World Cup 2026. Fabric weight, seam placement, and overall mobility were considered. A new font was developed for both the present and the future. Each jersey has an “Inner Pride” mark inside the collar, intended to represent each player’s internal motivation.
Including players in the design process followed the 2022 World Cup. Players and fans complained about the kits, which included one plain white jersey and one blue tie-dye jersey. The comments, combined with delayed photo shoots
“I think between both kits there is something for everybody,” said Ronnie J. Stewart, global product director for Nike. “If you want to be loud and proud and represent the crest, no one’s going to doubt who you’re there for in the light kit. If you’re looking for that lifestyle look that works off the field, the dark is for you.”
Later in the spring, U.S. Soccer and Nike will also introduce a collaboration to bring a streetwear-inspired edge to the collection. The collaboration will highlight how soccer is permeating streetwear and youth culture across the United States.
The campaign and launch also serves as both the most widely available, and most highly promoted kit release in U.S. Soccer history. Approximately 2,500 retail locations across the United States will carry the new jerseys, including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Rally House and Scheels, as well as online through Soccer.com and the official U.S. Soccer store. The expanded retail footprint ensures that more fans than ever before can purchase the kits ahead of the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, U.S. Soccer reinvests revenue from licensed merchandise back into the game, supporting its 27 National Teams as well as coaching education, referee development and grassroots programs across the country.
