NJ Transit will be supporting Fleet Week New York 2025 all week-long with multiple promotions to make travelling to the city easier. Fleet Week celebrates our nation’s sea services and the commitment that they have made to keeping us safe.
Two U.S. Navy ships, two U.S. Coast Guard cutters and five U.S. Navy Academy Yard Patrol boats will be on display and open for tours. A ship from the Royal Canadian Navy will also be joining them.
To honor the brave men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces, NJ Transit will be offering them complimentary rides throughout the system during fleet week. From May 21 to May 27, any active-duty or reserve members of the military and National Guard will be able to ride for free on NJ Transit. All they have to do is show proof through an ID or military uniform to the operator or conductor on a New York City-bound train.
In addition to the complimentary rides, NJ Transit is also offering military discounts to current and former members of the United States armed services.
NJ Transit is committed to helping our country’s veterans in any way possible, whether it be through employment or deals such as these. The company has made strides to ensure that those that protect our country are taken care of when it comes to transportation.
