For the 4th straight year, NJ TRANSIT has been named on Forbes’ America’s Best-in-State Employers 2024 list. NJ TRANSIT was ranked #1 in the Transportation and Logistics category. The survey evaluates leading companies from across the globe, seeing which ones are most-liked by their employees.
In addition to being their 4th straight appearance, it is the 5th time in the past 7 years that NJ TRANSIT has been labeled as one of the top places to work in the state. This only adds to the long list of accomplishments that the company has racked up in recent years, including the 2023 American Public Transportation Association (APTA) award for Outstanding Public Transportation System.

Forbes’ 6th annual America’s Best-in-State Employers list was created by working with market research firm Statista to anonymously survey more than 160,000 employees at companies with over 500 workers. The survey data also considers consistency within companies, as opposed to one that may have just one good year. A company’s final score is built based off their personal and public evaluations. Personal evaluations focus more on the employees, while public evaluations are centered around family and friends of employees or workers in the same industry.
