NJ Transit Offering Rides to MetLife as NFL Season Opens

With the NFL season now in full effect, there will be an influx of Jets and Giants fans coming to East Rutherford to cheer on their team at MetLife Stadium. Many fans that want to avoid the hassle of driving and parking or don’t live close enough to the stadium will turn to NJ TRANSIT to get them to the game. NJ TRANSIT’s BetMGM Meadowlands Rail Line service to MetLife Stadium began on Sep. 10, when the New York Giants hosted the Dallas Cowboys, and will continue to run throughout the season.

The BetMGM Meadowlands Rail Line will be offering fans a ride to and from Secaucus Junction for every Jets and Giants home game. Travelers can take any NJ TRANSIT train that stops in Secaucus Junction and then transfer to the direct BetMGM Meadowlands Rail Line to the Meadowlands Rail Station, which is located right by the stadium entrance.

The start time for the rail shuttle varies depending on the scheduled start time of the game. As game day approaches, the times will be updated on njtransit.com/MetLifeStadium. At peak popularity, the trains will operate every 10-20 minutes. It is strongly recommended that customers consult the rail schedule for the event to know when the final train leaves the station.

Note: Customers traveling on NJ TRANSIT trains to MetLife Stadium should purchase their roundtrip tickets from their originating station to Meadowlands Station to avoid delays boarding trains. Tickets purchased on the train will include a $5 surcharge for each ticket.
