NJ Transit resumes express weekday bus service to American Dream

Two Express Weekday Roundtrips Provide Direct Service from New York to Shopping, Entertainment and Dining at American Dream; Complements Hourly Service on Weekends and Daily Local Bus Service

NJ TRANSIT is making it easier to enjoy all that American Dream has to offer every day by resuming weekday express bus service from Midtown Manhattan to the entertainment/retail center.  Two weekday departures from the Port Authority Bus Terminal (PABT) provide direct one-seat ride to American Dream, with two return trips in the evenings.

“This is a great example of how transportation can help drive the economy,” said New Jersey Department of Transportation Commissioner and NJ TRANSIT Board Chair Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti.  “Additional weekday transit service to American Dream is a win for our customers and our environment.”

“Expanding our express New York bus service to the weekdays makes getting to and from American Dream more convenient for both shoppers and workers,” said NJ TRANSIT President & CEO Kevin S. Corbett.  “As ridership continues to recover throughout the transit system, we’re pleased to offer additional service to one of the premiere shopping, dining and entertainment venues in North America.”

“Awareness and excitement for American Dream are on the rise in New York City,” said Don

Ghermezian, CEO of American Dream. “This past spring break, we saw a huge increase in guests coming from the city to spend the day exploring our world-class attractions and browsing our phenomenal retail offering. With more and more tourism returning to New York coupled with the enthusiasm of the city residents, we fully expect packed buses from Port Authority to American Dream daily! We thank NJ TRANSIT for expanding this service so we can accommodate these guests.”

NJ TRANSIT’s No. 355 bus route offers two weekday departures from the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., with express service directly to American Dream.  Two return trips depart American Dream at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.  The trip between PABT and American Dream takes less than a half-hour under usual traffic conditions.
