NJBIA Basic Skills & Workplace Literacy Free Skills Training

The New Jersey Business & Industry Association is partnering with the New Jersey Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development and the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development to create the Basic Skills & Workplace Literacy Free Skills Training.

The Basic Skills & Workplace Literacy Free Skill Training is a free training program for employers across the state to register their employees in informative courses located at their respective community colleges.

Training will cover language, literacy and business skills at no cost, as tuition is funded by unemployment payroll taxes that employers already pay to New Jersey.

Requirements

No company financial information is required, however the company must be registered in the State of NJ and in compliance with NJ tax laws. Along with this, employees must be paid during their time spent in training.

To get started, contact your local community college.
