North Jersey Friendship House Adds New Board Leadership

North Jersey Friendship House (NJFH) recently elected a new chairperson to its board of trustees.

Carla Noriega, MBA, Managing Director of Morgan Stanley, joined the NJFH Board two years ago and served as treasurer finance committee chair. Her leadership skills, business acumen and financial expertise will be put to work as chairperson as NJFH develops its strategic goals for the next five years.

NJFH CEO Dinorah D’Auria recently joined Noriega in visiting each program at the Hackensack location.

“I have been involved with this great agency for almost two years and am amazed and inspired by the magnificent work. NJFH stands apart from other agencies in its overall programming excellence and deep connection with its members,” Noriega said.

“I am thrilled to take on this incredible opportunity to lend my experience and perspective as the agency implements its vision for the future. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow trustees to advise the NJFH senior leadership on implementing their strategic priorities, which remain true to the organization’s mission,” Noriega added.

Based in Jersey City, Noriega serves as Head of Client Tax Operations, supporting the Institutional Services Group (ISG), Wealth Management (WM), E*TRADE, and Morgan Stanley At Work clients. She is the founder and current global co-head of the Network of Women in Operations (NOW) and the Sponsor of the Global Operations REACH (Recognize and Champion) Mentoring program.

She started at Morgan Stanley in 2014 as Head of Wealth Management Asset Servicing. Previously, she worked for UBS for 15 years in various Operations leadership roles. She earned her master’s degree in business administration from Regis University in 2008. She resides in North Haledon, NJ, with her husband and two children.

Noriega replaces two-year NJFH Chairperson Kim Pulido, BS, EA. NJFH said it appreciates her service as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and as a parent and advocate for adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.

For FY 2025, Pulido has been elected treasurer, and she will chair the finance committee. She joined the Board of Trustees in 2019 and has assisted us with strengthening the agency with her background in finance.

The Board of Trustees includes Donnalee Corrieri, MHA, and Elizabeth Rucci, MA, as Vice-Chairpersons. The Trustees are Patti Murray, DBA, SHRM-CP, Diane Scriveri, and Jason T. Shafron, Esq.

NJFH’s mission is focused on building skills and empowering adults with disabilities with the social, emotional, and vocational skills to reach their goals and be integral, productive members of the community.
