Because you only turn 11 once, Kim Kardashian headed to American Dream Meadowlands to throw a one-of-a-kind birthday bash for daughter North West, the oldest of her four children with ex-husband Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West (the couple divorced in 2022).
The party at the East Rutherford, New Jersey entertainment mall — the second-largest mall in North America — covered most of the major American Dream hotspots, including Nickelodeon Universe, DreamWorks Water Park, Big SNOW and food at Marcus Live Bar & Grille.
Family and close friends were there, including cousin Penelope Disick, reality TV star La La Anthony, North’s BFFs and her favorite gaming streamer and YouTube star, Kai Cenat.
Kardashian shared party pictures and videos on her social media pages, where on Instagram alone she has 362 million followers, making her the seventh most popular on that platform. (The first? Soccer/football phenom Cristiano Ronaldo.)
Wearing matching “I❤️NW” shirts, North and her friends got photo ops with SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs, news outlets reported. Aside from a three-tiered pink birthday cake, North was treated to cookies decorated with her face and cupcakes with “I ❤️ NW” written on the frosting.
“We have the American Dream after hours, and we have all of these for North’s birthday,” Kardashian said in her video, US Weekly reported. The video showed the animals in a row, no one aboard, and ready to go. “Me, LaLa and Kai, we’re all gonna ride them,” Kardashian said in the video.
American Dream Meadowlands is a frequent destination and party location for Hollywood stars, musicians, influencers, and notables. When Kardashian popped in at American Dream in June 2022, she called it “the coolest mall ever” on Instagram. Rappers Cardi B and Lil Uzi Vert have been spotted at the East Rutherford mega mall, and YouTuber MrBeast opened his first restaurant there in September 2022.
North’s birthday extravaganza continued in Manhattan, where among many spots visited, her entourage hit the Soho art studio, Paint Me Bear, according to TMZ, which also reported there were no signs of Ye/Kanye. However, “… he and North are super tight,” the celebrity news outlet said.
Although Kardashian has been rumored to have once eyed property in New Jersey and is a frequent visitor to the Garden State, she and her children North,11; Saint, 8; Chicago, 6; and Psalm, 4, reside in the Los Angeles, California area.
