The New York Sports Emmy Awards
The New York Sports Emmy Awards are a regional branch of the Emmy Awards presented by the New York Emmy® Awards (the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences) to honor excellence in regional sports television broadcasting, programming, and media.

New York Chapter President David Stern stated that “This has been our most competitive Sports competition ever. New York Emmy® Awards were presented in 40 categories to 22 different organizations.”
The Sports Emmy Awards cover nationwide American sports television; the New York Sports Emmys specifically celebrate local and regional sports coverage, sportscasts, and programs produced within the New York television market.
Established as a standalone, separate competition by the New York chapter, the event recognizes local networks, regional sports powerhouses (like YES Network, MSG Networks, and SNY), and local news stations (like WABC-TV and News 12). The inaugural ceremony took place on Oct. 30, 2023, at the Paley Center for Media in New York City.
