Ridgewood Celebrates Daffodil Festival This Sunday

On Sunday, April 27 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Ridgewood will sponsor its annual Daffodil Festival and Earth Day in Memorial Park at Van Neste Square. The event is sponsored by the parks and recreation department, Conservancy for Ridgewood Public Lands and Green Ridgewood.

The theme for this year is “H2O Optimize: Protecting Our Water”. It focuses on the challenges that the village is looking into, including conservation of water and flood mitigation.

There will be a petting zoo, live music, educational programs, demonstrations and crafts. Vendors will be in attendance that specialize in sustainability, natural products and services.

The Daffy Dog Parade will begin at 12:30 p.m., featuring dogs and their owners dressed up in costumes. The parade offers an exciting and uplifting time for guests of all ages to watch the pets.

The Festival puts the town’s environment on display, showing off all of the great features that nature has to bring. It offers exciting and fun activities, as well, to keep all guests entertained while they enjoy the outdoors.
