On Sept. 27, RPM Raceway held the ‘Beat Lando Norris’ Challenge, which gave racers the opportunity to win free racing for a year and 1 year’s supply of Monster energy drinks. Any racers up for the challenge would have to beat Lando Norris’ fastest lap time in order to be entered into a raffle.
The event was created to celebrate National Go-Karting Day, which took place on the same day. RPM Raceway’s Jersey City location played host to the event, where everyone would be having a good time but only 1 lucky winner gets the ultimate prize.
“The idea for the ‘Beat Lando Norris’ challenge came from our desire to celebrate both the incredible success Lando has been having in Formula 1 and to inspire our local community of racing enthusiasts,” said Andrew Farage, Co-Founder of RPM Raceway. “Lando’s rise in F1 has been nothing short of phenomenal, and we wanted to give our community the chance to test their skills against his. This event is a celebration of racing for everyone, from seasoned pros to first-time drivers.”
The fastest time of the winner of the track’s challenge was 22.719, with any racer who beat Norris’ score at any location being automatically entered into the raffle. The reward given demonstrates RPM Raceway’s dedication to helping the communities in which they are located by providing children and adults alike with a fun, entertaining time.
