SCORE Contest: Pitch Your Business Idea For Chance To Secure Startup Funds

Entrepreneurs have while receiving mentorship and exposure

Pitch your business to a panel of industry experts for a chance to win up to $20,000 in SCORE’s 60th Anniversary Pitch Competitions

How the pitch competition process works:

  • Submit your pitch application by July 31.
  • Begin working with your assigned SCORE mentor to develop your pitch, if approved.
  • Record your 2-3 minute pitch and submit it, if approved.
  • If selected, present your pitch live at the Philadelphia event on Aug. 28.

The 60th Anniversary Pitch Competition is designed for small business owners who want to improve their presentation and selling skills. Participants will receive insights and guidance from SCORE mentors and industry experts who will help ensure entrepreneurs are well-prepared to deliver a compelling pitch.

SCORE will host five pitch competitions across the country; participants can be from any state to apply. Three winners will be selected from each of the competitions. The competitions will be held in the following locations: 

  • Philadelphia, PA – Wednesday, Aug. 28 
  • Des Moines, IA – Thursday, Sept. 12
  • Online/ Virtual Competition – Sept. 17, 18 and 19
  • Los Angeles, CA – Thursday, Sept. 26
  • Houston, TX – Thursday, Oct. 3
