Solar Builder has officially named Solar Landscape’s 11 MW Duke Realty Portfolio as the Community Solar Project of 2021. These projects are substantial in the building industry’s pursuit of our community’s energy, equity and jobs.
The starting point for Solar Landscape was Duke Realty’s perfectly large rooftop space.
Due to the project’s components, a total of 1,800 New Jersey households had become subject to the great benefits of the installation of solar energy on four Duke facilities all in three various municipalities. With a strong pursuit to educate and inform current and prospective customers, the Solar Landscape team and nonprofit partners were able to target new low-to moderate-income clients.
Shaun Keegan, founder and CEO of Solar Landscape, discusses with us his ability to persist over 50 electricians and installers in employment. Although there is a shortage in skilled labor for solar, Solar Landscape had partnered with GAF to add new departments of training for the employees. Solar Landscape was able to use its nonprofit partners to continue promoting the job training initiative. To date, Solar Landscape has been able to train over 100 solar installers.
