On Saturday, Aug. 8, as well as Sunday, Aug. 9, the United Grid League will be making its northeast debut at The Rink at American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The United Grid League is bringing sports to the spotlight in a way that has never been seen before. The competition sees teams composed of both men and women battling it out in a race that tests athleticism at all levels, in addition to strategies and teamwork.
There will be six teams competing in the races, including the New York Wolves, who will be making their home arena debut. Of the other six teams in the United Grid League, four reside in Florida, with the other teams representing the Carolinas and Las Vegas. The 2026 season marks the inaugural season for the New York Wolves, who will be playing in front of a hometown audience for the first time this weekend.
The United Grid League’s format, while unorthodox, is known to draw in many first time spectators with its fast-paced and exciting nature. Each day will feature three matches spread throughout the entire day, with the Wolves playing both days, among other teams. The full match schedule for the weekend can be found listed below.
Saturday, Aug. 8:
- Tampa Bay Brigade vs. Palm Beach Breakers, 12:35 p.m.
- SWFL Sharks vs. Fort Lauderdale Lions, 3:15 p.m.
- Carolina Flight vs. New York Wolves, 6 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 9:
- Tampa Bay Brigade vs. SWFL Sharks, 10:30 a.m.
- Palm Beach Breakers vs. South Beach Palms, 1:15 p.m.
- Las Vegas Venom vs. New York Wolves, 4 p.m.
With the United Grid League coming to American Dream, it marks another sporting event coming to a venue that has previously hosted basketball, hockey, football and soccer matches. However, the unique nature of its races makes it different from any sport that has visited The Rink.
