Over the past few days, it was hard to miss the build-up for The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours Until Dawn Tour’. The superstar’s reach was so far that he had to extend his stay at MetLife Stadium from one show to three after seeing the high demand for tickets.
From Jun. 5 to 7, The Weeknd, joined by Playboi Carti and Mike Dean, stopped at the Meadowlands for his final show under the alias. After the conclusion of the tour he will continue to release music, only under his real name, Abel Tesfaye.
With this being his last tour as The Weeknd, he made sure to pull out all the stops. Playing songs that spanned throughout his over decade-long music career. From ‘I Can’t Feel My Face’ to ‘Blinding Lights’, the most-streamed on Spotify, with nearly 5 billion streams, his performance was one to remember.
With pyro, strobe lights and other forms of aesthetics for the concert, it offered a once in a lifetime experience for many viewers. There were over 163,000 fans in attendance over the three-day span and The Weeknd did his best to make sure that they all had the best experience.
Between Playboi Carti and The Weeknd’s performance, the shows lasted roughly four hours, keeping those in attendance engaged throughout. With the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup on the prowl, the trio of concerts this past weekend will serve as the last of the summer for over a month. There is no better concert to end it on, as The Weeknd put on a show that will go down in the MetLife Stadium history books.
