There’s a Free Burrito With Your Name On It

National Burrito Day is Thursday, April 3 and freebies abound, with many national chains handing out free food, discounts, or announcing new items.

Chipotle

Chipotle’s Burrito Vault game is giving away more than $1 million in free burritos. People can guess the correct burrito ingredient combination at UnlockBurritoDay.com. The first 2,500 to crack the code each hour will score a buy-one-get-one-free code. For the first time in 2025, the first player to win each hour will receive free burritos for a year.

Players who don’t win still earn 25 reward points for one attempt per day. On April 3, members get free delivery on orders made through the Chipotle app or website using the code “DELIVER.”

Qdoba

At Qdoba, Rewards Members get a free burrito or bowl with the purchase of an entrée and beverage. Anyone joining the Rewards Club gets a complimentary queso and chips. There are 23 locations in New Jersey. In the area in and around the Greater Meadowlands Region, there are Qdoba eateries in Jersey City, Newark, Hoboken, Bayonne, Fair Lawn, Paramus, Willowbrook Mall, and Wayne.

Moe’s Southwest Grill

Moe’s Southwest Grill is celebrating with a BOGO burrito or bowl deal on April 3. Redeeming offer online requires a Moe Rewards account. Participants must apply Reward at checkout.

Enter the Free Burritos for a Year contest April 3 from 9 a.m. (ET) to 11:59 p.m. (ET). take place on the official Moe’s Southwest Grill Instagram account (@moessouthwestgrill). See the contest rules for details about the sweepstakes.

Five winners will be selected to receive a prize of one Moe’s Burrito Blanket and one free Burrito. On April 18, 100 winners will be randomly selected to receive free burritos for a year. The burritos are redeemable as one burrito per week for 52 consecutive weeks through the Winner’s Moe Rewards Account at participating locations only. 

There are 22 Moes in New Jersey, the closest to the Meadowlands being Clifton, Edgewater, and Paramus.

7-Eleven’s Shrimp Burrito Debut

7-ElevenSpeedway and Stripes stores have $5 deals on the menu, featuring $5 burritos from Laredo Taco Company and the all-new shrimp burrito and customer favorite, Chicken Fajita Burrito. In New Jersey, 7-Eleven has 367 locations, and is planning to close 18. There are 66 Speedway stores, but no Stripes. There’s a 7-Eleven in just about every municipality in the Meadowlands, with some having two or more locations.

Taco Bell

Buy one burrito in the Taco Bell app, and can get a second one of equal or lesser value for 50% off. Taco Bell rewards members can get any standard burrito for $2 when they spend at least $15 on orders through the Taco Bell mobile app.
